Do you like games? Seriously? (48)

Let me start with being honest with you: I don’t like games. So whatever view I am providing on games it will probably not be a very positive one. Then why am I writing about this topic? Well, simply because I seem to be unable to avoid games. Not in my personal life (‘Come on we need a fourth player, don’t be so dull’) nor in my work (‘Here are 6 Lego bricks, now make a duck.’). My view on serious games is however not as negative as Dan Lyons’s in his book ‘Lab Rats’ in which he states that those games are useless and just make our lives miserable.

Whatever those games do, they are worth discussing as they are used so very often. I took a minute to write down the ones I encountered.
