Many organizations have now gained their first experience with Scrum. Agile teams often encounter limits because the rest of the organization has not yet been set up Agile. Much gains can be made if the entire production chain is optimized and work is properly coordinated and the value chain as a whole is aligned.
With Agile working and the Scrum method you can achieve something valuable for your customer in a short-cyclical manner, with a fixed rhythm. During this training you will discover how you can work together with many and many teams on a complex product or product group. In addition, you will learn how, as a change agent, you can help your organization choose an appropriate scaling method.
Organizations where many teams work on joint products require more than an Agile mindset and knowing the Scrum principles. Does your organization work with more than five teams on one or more products? And for one or more customer types? Then it is smart to start scaling up.
Following on from scaling up an agile team to multiple agile teams, it is discussed what that means for whether or not a project organization is needed and what role permanent and temporary PMOs play in this. This also clarifies how the role of the more traditional project manager can develop in situations where more and more agile teams are being implemented and, on the other hand, which new roles arise for which the project manager may qualify.
This training is useful for anyone who wants to delve into an agile way of thinking and working for many teams at the same time and who wants to adjust the entire organizational structure and processes. In this interactive training you will get started with different scaling techniques and frameworks. There are various methods to achieve this, such as Nexus (from scrum.org), LeSS and SAFe®, etc. Together we will examine in which situation and context which scaling technique fits best. We identify known dilemmas and look at the most valuable way of coordinating working with many Scrum or DevOps teams. This training does not lead to certification for 1 technique or framework. It consciously offers a broader picture of various agile scaling methods as a means to achieve business agility. This training is especially suitable for professionals who already work in agile teams and who want to focus on the next growth phase. Participants benefit if agile, scrum or devops knowledge is already available. The first part of the day consists of recognizing the need for scaling and explaining different scaling techniques.
During the training, especially in the afternoon (second half of the day), the knowledge will be directly practiced in practice on the basis of a case. It is possible to include your own situation in the training. The training is open to everyone, but the following is recommended: This training assumes fundamental knowledge of Agile and Scrum, preferably supplemented with extensive practical experience.
