End with the begin in mind (37)

No, that was not a mistake, I really meant “End with the begin in mind”. You may have recognized this sentence as the second habit described by Stephen Covey in his book “The 7 habits of highly effective people”. And yes, I’ve reordered the words a bit. Although I value Covey’s 7 habits and even recently put this habit on one of the first slides of a presentation, I think in the context of requirements engineering “End with the begin in mind” would even be a better habit.

Let me explain my point of view by first defining what I mean with the ‘begin’ and with the ‘end’ in the context of requirements engineering.
