This training is for anyone who wants to master the skills and competencies needed to deliver quality products in an Agile environment. You will learn how to apply the Agile mindset, optimize delivery, build quality in, follow engineering principles, perform continuous testing, and scale your processes. The training is interactive, experiential, and collaborative, with plenty of discussions and exercises to reinforce your learning.

After this training, you will:

Be able to demonstrate your ability to use the soft skills that are essential for the Agile mindset, in alignment with the Agile manifesto and principles – Agile Mindset
Improve your delivery speed by implementing efficient and effective practices – Faster Delivery
Implement the team activities to ensure the product quality objectives for each persona are met from inception throughout the product lifecycle – Build Quality In
Deliver the right product, the first time, with maximum business value, using repeatable, auditable, and adaptable processes, while minimizing technical debt – Engineering Principles
Support the integration of code by iterating through planning, building, and testing multiple times per day, in order to complete the items that match the acceptance criteria and the definition of done – Continuous Testing
Identify the additional risks and changes that are required to scale your processes based on your team size and/or distribution – Scalability

This training will teach you how to share the responsibility of quality with your team members and deliver products that meet the highest standards. You will learn the essential skills and competencies that will enable you to work effectively and efficiently in an Agile environment. The training is not just a lecture, but a hands-on experience that will challenge you to apply what you learn. You will participate in interactive discussions and exercises that will strengthen your understanding and confidence.

The training Practitioner Agile Quality is for anyone who has some Agile knowledge and wants to take it to a practitioner level.

This course is designed for anyone wanting to improve their Agile skills and ensure accelerated quality delivery of working software.

Prior knowledge or training

This is a practitioner’s course. Candidates are expected to have met one of the Agile knowledge pre-requisites such as iSQI ® Certified Agile Essentials (CAE), iSQI ® Certified Scrum Master Pro, ISTQB ® Foundation Level Agile Tester or have 2 years professional experience working in Agile.

Structure of this training

The course lasts three days. The emphasis is on building your knowledge and skills to a practical application. PAQ candidates are assessed at the end of the course with a practical assessment taken under controlled exam conditions. This will be scheduled separately.

This ‘hands-on’ practical assessment is in the form of a ‘Sample Project’ which includes User Stories, associated Design documentation plus a ‘multi-drop’ application seeded with defects.

In addition, each practical assessment will contain 2 additional scenario-based questions requiring written answers that cover a selection of competencies. These written answers will be marked along with the answers to the Sample Project by an Independent Assessor.
